Reminiscing last night about when Whitney went into labour with JZ.
I could barely get dressed; never mind have a shower, and he was in there singing. My nerves were gone. Our Whitney was in labour and instead of getting her bag out to the car, he was in the shower singing.
- Are you serious, Jimmy?
- What?
- Whitney is having contractions every ten minutes and you’re in the shower singing.
- I’m happy, Ber.
- Well, can you be happy in the car…driving to the hospital.
- No rush, Bernie. No rush.
- Your daughter is in the height of it and you think there’s no rush
- She’ll be grand.
- Stop singing and get a move on, Jimmy.
- It’s great to be alive, Bernie.
- I agree, but you don’t normally sing about it.
- Today is a special day, Ber.
- It is, Jimmy.
- I’m going to be a granddad.
- I’m going to be a granny.
- Holy fuck.
- What’?
- I can’t believe it, Ber.
- What can’t you believe? That you’re going to be a granddad?
- No, I can’t believe I’m going to be sleeping with a granny tonight.
- Holy fuck.
- What?
- I’m going to be sleeping with a granddad tonight. 😱
Needless to say, the novelty has worn off 🤣

They get so good at it, don’t they? By the second mine was telling me we had plenty of time. We didn’t. Third time he brought me to the hospital then went home to feed the cat. Fifth time he went home and missed the start, again.
